The human resources information systems (HRIS) course is designed to focus on a range of human resources management matters through open discussion, lectures and practical workshops.
The course is aimed at any participant involved in identifying human resources information requirements and systems as well as implementation and evaluating the performance of the system.
Organizations are reliant on accurate, timely and detailed information in their daily human resources management workplace activities. Information includes, but is not limited to, payroll data, labour turnover, full time equivalents, absenteeism, workforce planning and occupational health and safety performance.
The training and classroom interaction will enable participants to identify requirements and select, implement, monitor and evaluate HRIS in line with their own business and human resources planning.
Learning Outcome:This course will teach and / or practice the following core skills of the Griffith Graduate:
- Problem solving and decision-making skills, and
- Conceptual and analytical skills in terms of analyzing the case study and using their integrated knowledge of theory and practice across multiple disciplines, to provide solutions to real world solutions; Professional effectiveness in terms of the students ability to understand, integrate and apply knowledge that cuts across multiple discipline areas;
- Career & vocational skills in terms of providing proficiency in using a HRIS.
